When does a tree need to come down?
Not every problem tree has to go. Sometimes trimming is enough. Here are the signs that usually mean removal.
Dead or dying
Few or no leaves, bark falling off, or branches that snap easily.
Leaning
A tree that has started leaning, or soil that’s cracked or lifting at the base. Call soon.
Storm damaged
A split trunk, a broken top, or big limbs hanging loose.
Too close to the house
Trees that hang over your roof, crack your driveway or rub against power lines.
Disease or bugs
Rot, fungus on the trunk, or bugs eating the tree from the inside.

A tree that’s blocking a new driveway, addition, pool or fence.

How we take a tree down
Every tree is different. How we take it down depends on its size and what’s around it.
We look at the tree
How big it is, which way it leans, and what it could hit if it fell.
We plan around your property
Your house, fence, driveway, garden and any power lines nearby.
We pick the safest way down
Some trees can be dropped in one piece. Others come down in sections, with ropes or a crane.
We deal with the wood
We haul it off or leave it for firewood, whichever you want. Stump grinding is available too.
We walk the job with you
Before we leave, we make sure everything we agreed on is done.

How much does tree removal cost?
It depends on the tree. The only way to get a real number is to have us look at it, and that’s free.
What changes the price
- Size: bigger trees take more time and equipment.
- Location: a tree in an open yard costs less than one next to your house or power lines.
- How it comes down: trees that need climbing, ropes or a crane cost more.
- Cleanup: hauling off the wood and grinding the stump add to the price.

Is stump grinding included?
Only if you want it. We’ll list it on your estimate so you know what it costs.

Which tree it is, where it is in your yard, what’s wrong with it, and what’s close to it. Photos help too.
What happens to the wood and brush?
You decide. We can haul it all off or leave some for firewood. It’s written on your estimate.
How soon can you do it?
It depends on the weather and how busy we are. Dangerous trees go to the front of the line. Call and we’ll give you a date.
