When should a tree be trimmed?
Call us when limbs rub the roof or siding, hang over the house or driveway, block a window or the view from the road, or hang so low you have to duck under them to mow. Dead branches are worth taking out before they fall on their own, and so are broken limbs left hanging after a storm. Branches that cross and rub on each other can be thinned out too. If the whole tree is dead or leaning badly, trimming won’t fix it, and we’ll tell you that.
What changes the price of tree trimming
We price each trim after we see the tree. The main things that change it:
- How many limbs need to come off and how high up they are
- Whether the limbs hang over your roof, fence or a neighbor’s yard
- Whether branches are close to power lines
- How easy it is to get to the tree
- Whether you want the branches chipped and hauled off

1. Tell us which limbs bother you
Call (919) 551-6842 or send the form. Tell us which tree and which branches: over the roof, dead, too low, or broken. A photo or two helps.
2. We look at the tree with you
We come out, look at the tree from the ground and go over which limbs come off and why. Point out anything else while we’re there.
3. You get a free price
You get the price before we cut anything, along with which limbs we’ll take off and whether cleanup is included.
4. We trim and clean up
We cut the limbs we agreed on and deal with the branches the way we agreed: chipped and hauled off, or left for you. Then look the tree over and tell us if anything looks off.

How much does tree trimming cost?
It depends on how many limbs come off, how high they are, what’s under them and whether you want the branches hauled away. We look at the tree and give you a free price before we cut.
Will trimming hurt my tree?
Not when the cuts are made in the right places. Taking off dead, broken or rubbing branches is good for a tree. Cutting off too much at once can stress it, so if you’re asking for a lot, we’ll talk with you about it first.
Can you trim branches near power lines?
If a branch is touching a power line, or you aren’t sure, call the power company first and don’t try to pull it down yourself. If branches are near the line but not touching it, tell us when you call and we’ll talk about what we can do.
