Tree service in Southern Pines, NC
Many Southern Pines yards have big, older trees growing close to the house, the driveway, a fence or garden beds. Before we cut anything, we look at what’s under and around the tree so we can take it down or trim it without damaging the things you care about.
Photos help us get a head start. Take a few from different sides that show the whole tree and what’s near it. Don’t stand under a broken or hanging limb to get the shot.

Tree removal
We take down dead, dying, leaning and storm-damaged trees, plus trees you just don’t want anymore. Before we start, we tell you how the tree will come down, what happens to the wood and brush, and whether the stump is part of the job.
Tree trimming and pruning
Tell us what you want trimmed and why: limbs over the roof, branches rubbing the house, dead wood, or a tree crowding the driveway. That way we cut what you asked for and nothing more.
Stump grinding and removal
We grind stumps down below the ground so you can plant grass, lay mulch or use the spot again. Let us know how many stumps you have, about how big they are, and whether a gate or fence is in the way.
Emergency tree service
If a tree or big limb has fallen on your house, car or driveway, call us at (919) 551-6842. If it’s touching a power line, stay back and call the power company first.
Land clearing and crane tree removal
We clear lots and overgrown land. Show us where the clearing should stop and which trees should stay. When a tree is too close to the house to drop or climb safely, we may use a crane. We decide that after we see the tree in person.
What your estimate should cover
Your estimate should tell you in plain words what we’re doing and what it costs. Before you say yes, make sure it lists:
- Which trees, limbs or stumps we’re working on
- What’s wrong with each tree: dead, damaged, leaning or just in the way
- The house, roof, driveway, fence, garden beds or neighbor’s yard we need to work around
- Any power or utility lines near the tree, and who calls the utility company
- How we’ll get trucks and equipment to the tree, including gate width and soft ground
- What happens to the logs, brush and wood chips, and whether stump grinding is included
How it works
1. Call or fill out the form
Give us your address and tell us what’s going on with the tree. Mention if a storm caused it or if something is blocked.
2. Send photos if you can
One wide photo of the tree and the house together, plus a closer one of the problem, is plenty. Take them from a safe spot.
3. We come out and look
We drive over from Sanford, look at the tree and what’s around it, and check how we’ll get our equipment in.
4. You get a price before we start
We give you a free estimate that says what we’ll do, how we’ll clean up, and the price. Ask us about anything that isn’t spelled out.
5. We do the work and walk it with you
When we finish, walk the yard with us and make sure everything on the estimate got done.

Does your tree need to come down, or just a trim?
A problem tree doesn’t always have to come down. A limb that broke in a storm, branches hanging over the roof, a dead tree and an old stump are four different jobs. Tell us what you see, when it started, and which part of the yard it affects. We’ll tell you what we think it needs.
For a removal, ask how we’ll take the tree down and what happens to the wood. For trimming, point out the exact limbs you want gone. For a stump, tell us what you want that spot to become: lawn, a flower bed or a walkway. For clearing, mark where it stops and what stays.
Getting to the tree and cleaning up after
Tell us about gates, the driveway, soft ground, slopes, garden beds and anything next door we need to stay off of. If the tree is near the street or a shared driveway, mention that when you call.
“Cleanup” can mean a lot of things, so we talk it through first: chipping the brush, cutting up logs, hauling wood away or leaving it, grinding the stump and raking up the chips. Your estimate should say which of those are included, so you know how the yard will look when we leave.
Before we start work in Southern Pines
Read your estimate one more time and make sure it matches what you asked for: the trees, the cleanup, the stump, the date and the price. If a utility company needs to be called, make sure you know who’s calling. Move cars out of the way if we ask. Keep kids and pets inside while we work. When we’re done, walk the yard with us. If you asked us to leave firewood or chips, check that they’re where you wanted them.
